Dear Friends,

Merry Christmas from The City of Hope. It has already been two and a half wonderful weeks since I left home. A lot has been done since then. Many challenges and set-backs have been overcome. Thanks for your prayers and financial support that have helped to make a difference.

I think I'm ready to come home for Christmas, though I was ready to come home before I left home!

We just had a Christmas feast at The City of Hope and we wish you could have joined us. Our people have worked so hard and we felt honored to treat them to a great Christmas meal. We slaughtered a bull and all the workers and their families were able to feast and will be feasting for the next few days. For many people, this is the most decent meal they will have for a long time.

Coming home with me will be Susan, our new addition to the family. Those of you who have been praying for us as we processed the adoption will be pleased to hear that all three girls have their visas. The other two girls will be coming earlier next year, after we get funds for their airfare. The process became more costly than what we had anticipated, but we are happy to have them and give them a second chance.

I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year! Please keep the support and the prayers coming. The City of Hope is not just a wish, but is becoming a reality.
